Toyota Selects ADP as a Tier One Supplier for Dealer Daily & Lexus Dealer Management Systems

    HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill.--Dec. 10, 1999--Toyota Motor Sales, USA Inc., (TMS) Torrance, California, has named ADP(R) Dealer Services, Hoffman Estates, Illinois, as a Tier One supplier of Lexus dealer management systems (DMS) and interfaces to its new Dealer Daily(TM) factory communications system.
    "We intend to demonstrate to TMS dealers who will be selecting a new DMS that our strong core functionality and tight integration to Toyota's new Dealer Daily DCS provides an unbeatable combination," said John Gray, Senior Vice President - Marketing and e-business for ADP Dealer Services. "ADP Dealer Services is able to offer dealers and manufacturers the choices they need in information management - whether it is on-site computing, web-based systems, application servers or a systems management arrangement."
    Toyota has introduced a Web-based business gateway called Dealer Daily that will eventually replace their existing factory communications system and provide access to many new Toyota PC-based applications. As part of this agreement, ADP will work with Toyota to create an industry-leading set of interfaces between ADP dealership management systems and Dealer Daily. ADP will also create the DMS functionality and DMS/DCS integration necessary for Lexus dealers to migrate from the current proprietary Toyota DMS (TDN) to ADP. "Our selection by Toyota is further evidence of our renewed commitment to be the partner of choice for every automotive manufacturer," Gray said.
    The ADP products will provide for productivity improvements for Toyota and Lexus dealers currently using the TDN system. Toyota dealers will be able to run a wide range of ADP and Dealer Daily applications from the same PC.
