Carfax to Sponsor Three Families for Holiday Season; Fairfax County Program Needs Additional Sponsors
FAIRFAX, Va., Nov. 23 -- Fairfax-based Carfax, Inc., today
announced that it would be participating in Fairfax County's Adopt a Family
program. The program seeks to provide families that are less fortunate with
necessities during the holiday season.
"This is the fourth year that our Fairfax office has participated in the
program," said Tammy Seldon, human resources manager for Carfax, Inc. "Each
year our staff collects food and gifts needed by each family. Last year a
family needed a microwave and Sony Playstation, and our employees pulled
through. We also provided shoes, clothes, and toys. It is a great bonding
experience for our employees to do something good for those less fortunate."
The Fairfax County Adopt a Family Program is in need of additional
sponsors to support families during this holiday season. Companies and
individuals interested in adopting a family for this holiday season should
contact Fairfax County Human Services at (703) 222-0880.
