1999 Ride For Kids Program Tops $2 Million

17 November 1999

The Ride for Kids set an all time record in
1999 with over $2 million raised in the effort to find a cure for childhood
brain tumors.

Over 10,000 motorcyclists participated in 17 events across the USA in 1999.
Together with national and local sponsors, they raised more than $2 million to
fund research to find the cause and cure of children$B!G(Bs brain tumors. The
motorcycling community has provided a wonderful outpouring of love, goodwill and
camaraderie in support of this cause. More than $8.9 million dollars has been
raised since the start of the Ride for Kids in 1984. Today, children with this
life threatening disease - the number one disease killer of children - have a
better chance than ever to beat the odds.

The 2000 Ride for Kids calendar is now set and we are looking forward to
increased participation from motorcyclists across the country. In 2000, the
first national Ride for Kids event in Florida is scheduled for November 5, 2000.
Please come ride with us in the journey to save these children$B!G(Bs lives.
