Hyundai Motor America CEO Responds to Isuzu Warranty Statement; Statement by Hyundai Motor America President and CEO, Finbarr O'Neill

    FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Oct. 20 -- "Hyundai still offers by
far the best package of warranty coverages to the American consumer," said
Hyundai President and CEO, Finbarr O'Neill.  "Despite the recent warranty
announcement by Isuzu, the Hyundai Advantage remains America's Best Warranty
offering the best, most comprehensive package of consumer protection in the
U.S. auto market.  The combination of Hyundai's 10-year/100,000 mile
powertrain warranty, 5-year/60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty,
5-year/unlimited mileage roadside assistance protection and the
5-year/100,000 mile anti-perforation coverage is superior to Isuzu's limited
extension of its powertrain warranty."
