Thrifty Offers Free Rand McNally TripMaker(R) CD-ROM With Car Rentals From Sept. 27 - Nov. 20, 1999

    TULSA, Okla., Sept. 27 -- Thrifty Car Rental will offer
customers a deal that is nothing short of a "trip" -- a free Rand McNally
TripMaker(R) CD-ROM when they rent from Thrifty at any U.S. and Canadian
airport location from now through Nov. 20, 1999, or while supplies last.
    To receive a free TripMaker CD-ROM, customers should mention PC 7344 when
making an advance reservation, or simply request a copy at the counter.
    TripMaker, a powerful trip planning tool for use on an IBM-compatible
computer, has a suggested retail price of $29.95.  The CD-ROM provides maps
and trip planning functions for over one million miles of roads across North
America, including hotels, restaurants and attractions.
    "This is really a terrific promotional item.  Customers who have received
it have gone out of their way to tell us what a great piece of software it
is," said Executive Vice President of Thrifty, Scott Anderson.
    The free CD-ROM is available upon request at all U.S. and Canadian Thrifty
Car Rental airport locations.  There is no minimum length of rental and no
specific pick-up days required to receive the free software.
    The TripMaker promotion is running in conjunction with another popular
promotion at Thrifty:  double and triple miles with select airline partners,
and triple Hilton HHonors partner bonus points when customers rent at Thrifty
airport locations in the U.S. and Canada.
    From Sept. 7 through Nov. 20, 1999, frequent flyers earn double miles with
American Airlines, America West, TWA and Continental Airlines.
    Members of the United Airlines Mileage Plus program will receive triple
Mileage Plus miles during this period, and members of Hilton HHonors will
receive triple HHonors bonus points when a valid Thrifty rental agreement or
keys are presented at hotel check-in.
    Rentals of up to 14 days in length will be eligible for the bonus miles,
with additional days awarded at the standard level.  Other limitations may
apply.
    Customers are allowed to participate in the TripMaker promotion and still
receive bonus airline miles and hotel points.

or log on to the Thrifty web site at http://www.thrifty.com.  Customers or their
agent should mention PC 7344 when making a reservation to insure they receive
a TripMaker CD-ROM with their rental.
