21 September 1999

Saddle Up and Prepare for the Race of a Lifetime with GT Interactive Software's `Harley-Davidson: Race Across America'

    MINNEAPOLIS--Sept. 21, 1999--

Computer Software Game Brings the `Harley-Davidson(R)'
Racing Experience to Your PC -
The Only Thing Missing is the Wind in Your Hair

GT Interactive Software's Leisure Publishing Division is set to launch a Harley-Davidson(R) 3D road trip experience like no other with the release of Harley-Davidson(R): Race Across America(TM) for PC from WizardWorks. Shipping to retail later this month, Race Across America(TM) puts players in the driver's seat of their own Harley-Davidson(R), as they race across the country to the motorcycle mecca - the Sturgis, South Dakota bike rally.
"Teaming with Harley-Davidson(R) on a computer software game is a testament to how diverse the computer gaming market is becoming - and we want to provide PC consumers with an entertaining and fun experience that directly correlates to their lifestyle," said Paul Rinde, senior vice president of the GT Leisure Division. "Race Across America is an action-packed virtual journey with incredibly stunning graphics of what it is really like to ride a Harley-Davidson(R) on the open road - all from the comfort of sitting in front of your PC."
In Race Across America, players race their Harley-Davidson(R) from one of three starting locations throughout the country: the Arizona desert, the New England countryside or the Redwood Forests of California enroute to their final destination - Sturgis, South Dakota. Players can also choose from five different Harleys(R) including Classic and Current models. Or, players can create and ride their own fully customized Harley-Davidson(R).
As a player's journey unfolds, they will be faced with challenging competitors, unpredictable roads, intense weather conditions and loads of other obstacles either in a single-race mode or against other players via a local area network or the Internet. Do you have what it takes to meet the Harley-Davidson(R) challenge and reach the ultimate goal of getting to the Sturgis bike rally as quickly as possible, while avoiding potential pitfalls?
Developed by G2M and Canopy Games, Harley-Davidson(R): Race Across America(TM) will be available at retail outlets nationwide later this month for a suggested retail price of $19.99 or through secure online transactions at www.gtstore.com. Race Across America screen shots, artwork and video footage can be viewed and downloaded at www.wizworks.com/product_art.
