October 1999 is National Car Care Month
7 September 1999
CHERRY HILL, N.J., Sept. 7 -- Subaru of America, Inc., in support of National Car Care Month, is encouraging its dealers to host free car care clinics for Subaru owners. Clinics will be held through the end of the year and are designed to promote vehicle safety through preventive maintenance. Subaru owners are invited to bring in their vehicles for a free, no obligation, professional diagnostic inspection. This includes a check-up of all major operating systems with a written report of the vehicle's condition. The Car Care Council, a non-profit organization created over 25 years ago, promotes National Car Care Month and educates motorists about the benefits of proper vehicle maintenance. "Small problems get bigger when they are neglected," the Council says. "As a result, the motorist faces towing charges, large repair bills and poor performance from their vehicle." "Subaru proudly supports the Car Care Council's effort to educate consumers on taking care of their vehicles. The Subaru clinics will not only help in preserving the life of Subaru vehicles, it will also be a great opportunity for Subaru owners to prepare their cars for the winter -- no matter what the weather," said Ginny Newkirk, Fixed Operations advertising and communications manager. Subaru owners should contact their local Subaru dealers for available clinic dates and times. Call 1-800-SUBARU-3 or check http://www.subaru.com to determine the closest dealer.
