ADP Dealer Services In Collaborative Agreement with Mopar Masters Guild

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill.--(AutomotiveWire)--Sept. 3, 1999--ADP Dealer Services (ADP) today announced a collaborative agreement with the Mopar Masters Guild (MMG) to encourage two-way information flow between the two organizations. ADP provides turnkey systems to more than 18,000 auto and truck dealers while MMG is an organization comprised of the parts managers from the 100 DaimlerChrysler dealers with the highest purchased parts volume that is dedicated to information sharing in a noncompetitive environment. Under the agreement, the MMG members will provide feedback on their current and anticipated needs while ADP will provide financial support to the organization.
Mike Martone, President of ADP Dealer Services, said that “the guild will provide an extremely valuable informational resource because of the high level of expertise and commitment of its members. We are very anxious to begin receiving feedback from guild members and I can assure them that every member of our organization from myself down will be paying close attention to their ideas. We salute the guild for its efforts to educate its members and promote the exchange of ideas with the vendors that service them.”
Paul Allred, President of the MMG and Parts Manager of Metroline Dodge in Charlotte, North Carolina, said the guild membership will play a role similar to a customer advisory board to ADP. “This agreement gives our members the opportunity to speak directly to ADP management and express how they would like to see the software continue to expand in its capabilities. On the other hand, ADP gains first-hand information from some of the most sophisticated users of parts software in the world.”
Gerry Oakes, Vendor Committee Chairman of the MMG and Parts Manager at Baxter Chrysler in Omaha, Nebraska, pointed out that more than 50% of MMG members already use ADP Dealer Services software. “This is another example of the way that ADP does an excellent job of supporting its customers. We can help them by providing information about the challenges we face and they can help us by developing software to meet those challenges.”
“As an ADP user, I know that the firm has always put a strong emphasis on customer service,” Oaks continued. “This relationship takes their focus on the customer to an even higher level by associating the firm with a group of power users who are determined to get the most of out of their business systems. This open exchange of ideas will benefit every user of ADP’s software.”
ADP Dealer Services Group provides turnkey systems to more than 18,000 auto and truck dealers throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia and Latin America. ADP Dealer Services Group is the third largest business unit of Automatic Data Processing, Inc. ADP, with over $5 billion in annual revenues and more than 450,000 clients, is one of the largest independent computing services firms in the world.
