Infiniti Plans a 'Grand' Celebration to Launch 2000 I30
                  Consumer Event on Aug. 24th Will Celebrate
                 Infiniti's 10th Anniversary and All-New I30

    GARDENA, Calif., Aug. 23  -- Infiniti, the luxury division of Nissan North 
America, Inc. (NNA), will host a nationwide "Celebration of Distinction" event 
in every one of its 147 Retailers on August 24th to simultaneously celebrate their 
10th Anniversary and introduce to the public, the all-new 2000 Infiniti I30.  
The event is aimed at nearly 750,000 Infiniti owners and prospects around 
the country and is by invitation only.

    In this private showing, all event attendees will witness a live broadcast
featuring both Eddie Cheever Jr., an Indianapolis 500 racing great, along with
one of America's most distinguished late-night talk show entertainers.
Complimentary hors d'oeuvres and beverages will be offered at each Retailer
and all attendees will also have the opportunity to win a two-year lease of an
all-new I30.

    "This unique preview is an excellent opportunity for Infiniti to showcase
its all-new I30 to consumers and an exciting way for consumers to experience
first-hand the elegance, performance and numerous features this car has to
offer," said Tom Orbe, Vice president and General Manager, Infiniti Division.
"The new I30 raises the bar for all cars in its class and I believe all those
who come down to their local Infiniti Retailer on August 24th will discover
this first-hand."

    The all-new Infiniti I30 goes on sale at all Infiniti Retailers on
September 1st and will have a MSRP of $29,465 for the luxury model and
$31,540 for the Touring model (price does not include $525 D&H).  The 2000 I30
offers an improved 3.0-liter DOHC V6 producing 227 horsepower, high-intensity
discharge Xenon headlights, active front-seat head restraint system, a
200-watt Bose(R) audio system with 7 speakers and a host of other luxury
convenience features.

    Infiniti is supported by a network of approximately 150 retailers
throughout North America and offers a range of luxury vehicles including the
Infiniti QX4 luxury Sport Utility Vehicle, G20 sports sedan, I30 luxury sedan,
and flagship Q45 performance sedan.
