Dick Miller to Head Geometric Software Solutions' US Operations; New Organization Bolsters International Business Development

    LOWELL, Mass.--June 8, 1999--Geometric Software Solutions, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Geometric Software Solutions Co. Ltd., Bombay, India, names Richard (Dick) C. Miller as Chief Executive Officer.
    Geometric is a global provider of software technology and development services to CAD/CAM/CAE/PDM vendors. The US subsidiary based in Lowell, MA manages global business development, sales, and marketing for the development center in India.

    Miller began his career with General Motors Corporation, where he was involved in engineering and software development over a 12-year period. He worked for Structural Dynamics Research Corp. (SDRC) for eight years, starting the Detroit office and directing sales and marketing of the software business. In 1982, he became Applicon's Director of Marketing.
    In 1984, Miller co-founded Aries Technology, Inc., where he was Chief Operating Officer. Upon merging with The MacNeal Schwendler Corp. (MSC), Miller became Vice-President of corporate marketing for MSC.
    Miller also established the DesignSpace division of Ansys, Inc. in 1996. Most recently, he provided business development consultation for several leading companies in the CAD/CAM/CAE industry.
    Miller is a recognized industry speaker with over 400 technical and management seminars and presentations to his credit. He has won several speaking awards. Miller has a BSME from General Motors Institute and MSME from the University of Dayton. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
