Midas Inc., Implementing JDA's MMS, Retail IDEAS and Arthur Planning To More Effectively Manage Supply Chain

    SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--May 26, 1999--JDA(R) Software Group Inc. , an international provider of enterprise retail solutions, announced that Midas Inc. , a provider of automotive services at 2,100 Midas shops in North America, is implementing Merchandise Management System(TM) (MMS(R)), JDA's AS/400 based corporate headquarters system; Retail IDEAS(R) data warehouse and Arthur Planning(TM), the retail industry's leading, enterprise-wide planning system.
    Midas kicked off the JDA project in April and is currently working with JDA consultants to outline the key integrated merchandising, distribution and financial needs for the systems. They are also establishing milestones that will lead to successful implementations.
