Camping World, the World's Largest RV Operation, Now Carries TORNADO; TORNADO Device is Stirring Up Interest of Drivers and Fleet Managers

SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif.--(AutomotiveWire)--May 26, 1999-- According to the recent article (June 1999) in RV View Magazine by Camping World, TORNADO increases miles per gallon up to 24 percent while adding up to 13 horsepower and boosting acceleration.
Imagine a mini-tornado moving air through a vehicle's intake system, so that every cylinder gets vital oxygen exactly when it's needed for a cleaner, faster and more complete burn. Easy to install, TORNADO creates a swirling motion in the air entering an engine's intake. It continuously whirls air around corners and bends.
Gains were confirmed by road tests conducted by an EPA-licensed emissions lab. It requires no maintenance, and no tools are required for throttle body injected or carbureted engines. Just remove the air filter housing lid and drop TORNADO over stud, then replace the cover.
In EFI engines, use a simple screwdriver to install TORNADO inside the air intake hose between the throttle body and the air filter box. Features also include stainless steel construction with no moving parts, to last the life of any vehicle, and a manufacturer's lifetime warranty. TORNADO is available for most motorhomes, pickups and cars.
Mr. Johnson, equipment maintenance superintendent, city of Norwalk, said: "We could conceivably save at least 10 percent on fuel cost. Even at an average of $1 per gallon, this number could easily reach $10,000 in savings per year. It's easily installed in vehicles. It never needs to be replaced on even cleaned. It's a one-shot deal!"
Ron Bell is the professor of automotive technology at Saddleback College. He said: "Students in my advanced EFI class this past semester put the TORNADO on a '94 Chevy Tahoe 350. I was skeptical, but test after test showed an increased MPG, from 11 to 14.5! I also noticed no flat spot around 35-40 MPH and improved acceleration."
Corporate and government users of the TORNADO include the city of Norwalk, Pacific Bell, the Boise Police Dept., FEDCO Tire Centers, JC Whitney and Camping World.
