Triple-A adds Life Insurance Service to 13 Locations in Bay Area; One-Stop Shopping for All Insurance Services at Triple-A

SAN FRANCISCO--May 3, 1999--Triple-A announced today that it has completed the rollout of life insurance services to all its offices throughout Northern California. AAA most recently added these services to the San Francisco North Bay and Peninsula regions.
"This is the most significant insurance product launch Triple-A has offered since 1972, when the homeowners insurance line was introduced," said Patrick Lupia, Director of Life Insurance Operations at Triple-A. "Our goal is to be the primary carrier for our members' insurance needs. We are pleased to announce that all of our offices in Northern California now offer this valuable service."
The new life products are underwritten by Auto Club Life Insurance Company and include whole and universal life, annuities, term options, and Child Protector 21 designed specifically to cover children. Auto Club Life Insurance Company has earned the "A" (excellent) rating from A.M. Best, the oldest and most widely recognized independent insurance rating organization.
Triple-A members interested in life insurance can weigh their options by requesting a "Consumers' Guide to Life Insurance." This booklet offers information and tips on choosing the right policy for individual or family needs, worksheets, and definitions for each type of life insurance product offered. The booklet is available at all Triple-A offices throughout Northern California. Additional information is also available on Triple-A's web site at www.aaa.com, or by calling the Life Insurance Service Center at 1-888/689-2722.
"Triple-A is no longer just an auto club. We are committed to fulfilling our members every insurance need," continued Lupia.
To best serve members, every Triple-A office will have at least one life insurance specialist.
Established nearly 100 years ago, Triple-A and the California State Automobile Association (CSAA) offer a wide variety of automotive, insurance, travel and financial services for its nearly four million members. CSAA is the second largest regional affiliate of the national Triple-A organization.
