Acura Launches www.NSXbyAcura.com Web Site

20 April 1999

Acura Launches www.NSXbyAcura.com Web Site to Reach NSX Enthusiasts, Owners
TORRANCE, Calif., April 20 -- Acura launched a new
NSX-specific web site today, http://www.NSXbyAcura.com, developed to serve as a
comprehensive information resource on the company's exotic sports car model.
The new site is the first the company has dedicated to a single model, and
will provide background information on the NSX, including its development, its
features and other topics of interest for owners and fans of the model.
"We want to showcase the heritage of the NSX, from its genesis out of our
Formula One racing program to the technologically refined sports car we know
today," said John Fulcher, senior manager of E-Commerce, Acura division.
"This is the first time much of this material has been gathered in one place,
easily accessible for anyone with internet access and an interest in the NSX,"
added Fulcher.
The site utilizes a unique 3-D Shockwave navigator to take the viewer
through the many innovations of the NSX. The unique navigation tool for the
site resembles the structure of a molecule that the viewer 'grabs' with the
mouse of their computer and can turn toward the different areas of interest
for the NSX.
The site is separated into major topical sections of the NSX, including
origin, form, speed, control, and others. As the molecular navigation tool is
moved into each zone the information displayed on the screen is changed to
reflect the viewer's choice. The new navigation device makes it possible to
scan a number of topics in a condensed space, resulting in a web site design
that is efficient and easy to navigate.
In addition to the pages of NSX information, the site acts as a resource
for NSX owners and fans by hosting links to the NSX Club of America web site.
Visitors to the site may sign up to join the site's optional e-mail list to
receive further information from Acura through the internet, locate an Acura
dealer or request an NSX brochure. Future plans for the site include the
addition of an enthusiast discussion area.
The site was created for Acura by Genex Interactive of Los Angeles, Calif.
Genex also is responsible for creating and maintaining Acura's main web site,
http://www.acura.com.
