United Recyclers Group Celebrates Earth Day, April 22nd By Distributing Free Auto Recycling Coloring BooksDENVER, April 14 -- United Recyclers Group (URG), is joining forces with its Partners across North America to help celebrate Earth Day on April 22, 1999, by distributing free Auto Recycling Coloring Books. United Recyclers Group, LLC is a recently formed partnership of over 360 auto recyclers. URG is participating in this promotion to educate and inform young people about the environmental and economic benefits of the auto recycling industry. The coloring book is titled, "My Coloring Book -- What happens to cars after they are wrecked? -- Recycling is Everyone's Business." This sixteen page book describes the auto recycling process and includes a glossary of terms and a list of what youngsters can do to help the environment. Thousands of these books have already been distributed across world-wide. Scout leaders, educators and civic groups have used the books to teach children about the importance of recycling. Each day thousands of wrecked automobiles are purchased for parts by auto recyclers, dismantled and recycled. Over 11 million vehicles are processed and recycled every year, reducing pollution, creating new products and helping the economy. Automotive recyclers also provide nearly 40% of all recycled steel in America and help keep the roads and highways clear of abandoned and disabled vehicles. If you would like to inquire about receiving free copies of these great coloring books, or for more information, please contact Monica Paici, Marketing Director at URG headquarters, (303) 292-6555.
