ZAP Expands Internet Shopping Mall
SEBASTOPOL, Calif., March 18 -- Leading electric bike and
scooter manufacturer ZAP Power Systems (OTC Bulletin Board: ZAPP), which
recently opened its virtual doors to shopping on the Web, is now offering an
electric motorbike called the Lectra.
Through its Web site http://www.zapbikes.com, ZAP's objective is to become
the best place to find, discover, learn about, and buy any electric vehicle
available on-line. With a visit to the site, one can learn more about
electric bicycles, scooters and now electric motorbikes. The April edition of
Mountain Bike Magazine describes the Lectra as "the ultimate commuting
machine." The electric motorbike can travel speeds of up to 51 mph, yet costs
just 20 cents worth of electricity to recharge. The motorbike retails for
about $4500.00.
ZAP aims to add new non-polluting vehicles to its Internet shopping site
as they become available. In the future it may even offer an auction page
similar to eBay that specializes in one of a kind or unique electric vehicles.
ZAP is a publicly owned company with stock trading over the counter under
the symbol ZAPP. For more information on ZAP, its franchises, or for ordering
an electric vehicle, go to http://www.zapbikes.com.
