Transportation Secretary Slater to Release
National Survey on Unsafe Driving, Red Light Running Program Results
At Symposium on Aggressive Driving
U.S. Secretary of Transportation Rodney E. Slater will announce the results of a new nationwide survey on unsafe driving practices at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 22, 1999. His remarks will kick-off a two-day symposium of transportation and criminal justice experts to address issues associated with aggressive driving and make recommendations concerning it. Secretary Slater will also announce the results of a national program in 31 communities to dissuade drivers from running red lights.
