NETPUB Helps Launch Audi TT: The Birth of an Audi Sports Car Tradition
PROVO, Utah, Dec. 16 -- Network Publishing, Inc., (NETPUB)
recently announced that it was chosen to implement the Internet launch of Audi
of America's new Audi TT Coupe, the birth of an Audi sports car tradition.
"It's a stylish car with great lines," said Rick Maw, president, NETPUB.
"Audi is doing everything they can to give it a good start. Besides
premiering the car at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit
this January, they will launch the Audi TT Coupe on the Internet because
research shows a large part of their audience is a Net user."
The microsite that NETPUB is implementing went live October 28 and can be
accessed from Audi's home page (http://www.audi.com). The site is designed to
enhance the user's experience by allowing them to view the Audi TT Coupe from
different angles and to become acquainted with its many options and features.
Audi benefits by capturing important demographic information about its target
audience. "When users visit the site," explained Maw, "they have the option
of typing in their e-mail address, name, home address and other information.
Audi will use this information to broadcast e-mail messages to these potential
customers to drive traffic to the site and generate interest and excitement
leading up to the Auto Show in January."
NETPUB is including its innovative configurator application on the
microsite. The configurator allows users to click on a picture of the Audi TT
Coupe and change its exterior and interior colors and other options, allowing
potential buyers to build the car of their choice. The application records
all the choices so Audi can see which colors and options are most popular.
The company plans to run an online contest in December that will capture more
detailed information from those who choose to participate, such as, age,
income and interests.
