Zappy on the Air Tonight!
SEBASTOPOL, Calif., Dec. 4 -- Look for the new ZAPPY? folding
scooter from ZAP Power Systems (OTC Bulletin Board: ZAPP) on The Buddy Faro
Show tonight on CBS, Friday, December 4, 1998 (9:00 p.m. PST/SFO area Channel
5).
As a way to gain more exposure for its new ZAPPY power-assist scooter, ZAP
has offered it to selective production studios in Hollywood. The company says
that many of them have requested ZAPPYs for possible on-air use. Writers from
Warner Bros.' comedy series The Army Show liked ZAPPY so much, they wrote a
whole scene around it with actors John Sencio, Toby Huss, Brian Posehn and
Victor Togunde scootering on and off camera. This episode aired Sunday,
November 15 on the WB.
Many of the actors and production staff from The Buddy Faro Show and The
Army Show enjoyed ZAPPY so much, they bought one to take home. Some say the
scooter could be the future of studio transportation since it is portable,
non-polluting, but mostly because it is quiet.
"Ever since I got my ZAPPY, it's been nothing but fun," says Victor
Togunde who plays Ozzie on The Army Show. "It makes it easier to travel
around the Warner Bros. Studio and on the weekend I take it to the beach and
just ride into the wind. Thank God for ZAPPY!"
ZAPPY and ZAP's other electric bicycles are specially priced for the
holidays and make a great gift. For test-drives visit ZAP at their San
Francisco, Santa Barbara, or Sebastopol locations.
For ordering information call 800-251-4555, or visit the ZAP website at
http://www.zapbikes.com. ZAP is a publicly traded company, stock symbol ZAPP.
