ADVISORY/1,000 Pounds of Turkeys in Tow to Local Charity; AAA Food Donation Meets Catholic Charities Needs for Holiday Meals

WHEN:  Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1 p.m.

WHERE: Catholic Charities, 1501 Las Vegas Blvd., Las Vegas

WHAT:  Catholic Charities will now be able to serve 1,300 more
       Thanksgiving turkey meals, thanks to a donation by AAA. A 
       convoy, led by a tow-truck, will deliver frozen turkeys to
       Catholic Charities in Las Vegas. The turkeys will be prepared
       into meals that the charitable organization will serve to Las
       Vegas area needy residents on Thanksgiving Day.

WHY:   AAA is delivering nearly 21,000 Thanksgiving turkey meals to 11
       charities in Nevada, Utah, and Northern California expecting to
       meet the entire turkey needs of each charity for the holiday.
       The Thanksgiving turkey delivery project, now in its second
       year, is part of AAA's Road to Caring program, an on-going
       campaign to meet the needs of the communities it serves.
