    LOS ANGELES, Sept. 15 -- Lincoln Mercury, along with the
Southern and Northern Lincoln Mercury Dealer Associations, has announced that
Los Angeles based advertising agency cruz/kravetz: IDEAS has been appointed
the Hispanic agency of record for the state of California.  cruz/kravetz:
IDEAS won the account after forging a strategic alliance with Uniworld Group
Inc., the national Hispanic agency of record for Lincoln Mercury.
    The auto manufacturer has recently been in the media spotlight since their
corporate offices were relocated from Detroit, Michigan to Irvine, California.
"Hiring a Hispanic agency is emblematic of Lincoln Mercury's commitment to the
California region.  It is also a recognition of the fast growing population of
affluent Hispanics in the state," said Carl Kravetz, president of
