Infiniti Announces 1999 Q45 Pricing; Flagship Sedan Offers Performance, Luxury and Value
CARSON, Calif., Sept. 3 -- Infiniti, the luxury division of
Nissan Motor Corporation U.S.A., today announced pricing for its flagship, the
1999 Infiniti Q45 luxury performance sedan. On an equipment-adjusted basis,
overall Q45 prices are $750 lower (1.5 percent) compared to the 1998 model
year.
The Q45 goes on sale this month at Infiniti's 150 retailers and has a
Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $48,200. Standard model
prices are down $1,000 (2 percent) compared to last year's standard Q45 on an
equipment-adjusted basis.
In addition to the standard model, a touring model (Q45t) is offered with
an even higher level of luxury and performance. Its starting price is $49,900
-- the same as the 1998 Q45t -- when adjusted for equipment, the 1999 Q45t is
$500 lower (1 percent) than last year's model.
The Q45, which celebrates its 10-year anniversary of production in 1999,
comes equipped with enhancements and refinements designed to keep it at the
top of its class in terms of luxury, performance, safety and sophistication.
Leading the many changes are revised front and rear styling, the return of the
original Q45 analog clock, new high intensity discharge headlights, a power-
operated rear sunshade and larger front-seat side air bags. For 1999, the
touring model features a new electronically modulated suspension system with
driver selectable settings, along with 17-inch wheels and tires.
"The Q45 has personified Infiniti's commitment to uncompromised luxury and
performance for the past 10 years," said Tom Orbe, Vice President and General
Manager, Infiniti Division. "With the many enhancements featured in this
year's sedan, we anticipate another fantastic year for the Q45."
Infiniti, the luxury division of Nissan Motor Corporation U.S.A., is
supported by a network of more than 150 retailers. Customer satisfaction has
always been a key component of Infiniti's commitment to customer service.
