Bankston Ford of Frisco opens on Dallas North Tollway Road & Highway 121
FRISCO, Texas, Aug. 28 -- Car buying has just gotten easier
for residents of Frisco and the surrounding areas with the opening of the new
Bankston Ford of Frisco at Dallas North Tollway Road and Highway 121.
Bankston Ford is located on 14.5 acres. The 66,000-square foot facility
includes a 26,000-sq. ft. showroom, a service center with 36 bays and a
13,000-sq. ft. used car facility.
"We are happy to bring Frisco its only new vehicle dealership," said Sonny
Morgan, general manager. "Our new state-of-the-art facility will be a positive
addition to the community. The facility is environmentally friendly, with no
outside speaker systems to add noise pollution, and new landscaping that will
enhance the area," Morgan concluded.
The new facility has inside and outside areas for children to play, a
refreshment center, an automotive accessory shop, and a freshwater aquarium.
There is a VIP area with booths that allow customers to make local phone
calls, and that include extra jacks for computer hook-ups.
Bankston Ford of Frisco will celebrate the grand opening with a ribbon-
cutting event Monday evening, September 10.
In a related development, Bankston Ford of Frisco named T.L. "Sonny"
Morgan, Jr. general manager of the company's new location.
Morgan has 30 years experience in the automotive industry in the Dallas
area. Prior to joining Bankston, Morgan was the general manager for the
AutoNation USA megastore in Grand Prairie. Before that, Morgan spent 15 years
with Rodger Meier Cadillac/Oldsmobile as sales manager and director of sales.
He also gained experience through seven years with Henry Butts Oldsmobile as
leasing manager, and then several years before that as a sales and service
consultant to three Dallas-area dealerships.
Morgan received his education from Texas Tech University, Northwood
University, and General Motors University. He has been the recipient of
several customer service and satisfaction awards. He and his wife, Karin, also
are very active in the community. Morgan has served as co-chairman of the
Grand Prairie Highways, Transportation and Aviation Committee, past board of
directors of both Grand Prairie and Farmers Branch Chambers of Commerce, and
past president of the North Texas Oldsmobile club.
