As part of this marketing agreement, Visa receives program and Internet advertising along with track signage, hospitality and event-day employee uniform identification. Additionally, Visa receives the rights to utilize the Penske mark with both participating merchants and member banks. Visa will also offer a Penske value-added program for cardholders. The sponsorship, effective May 19, 1998, runs through 2001. "This strategic marketing agreement aligns two industry leaders, benefiting cardholders and providing opportunities for our member financial institutions through a number of marketing initiatives." Additional marketing opportunities include: retail point-of-sale signage; a Penske Visa corporate card program; on-track hospitality packages and public address announcements; Penske employee uniform patches; "on-hold" phone messaging and employee prompting by Penske telephone operators; and cardholder benefits including exclusive ticket lines at Penske tracks and value-added offers at Penske tracks, Penske automotive centers and Penske Truck Rentals.
