Colors on Parade Enjoys Record Month

NORCROSS, Ga.--(AutomotiveWire)--August 12, 1998--Atlanta-based Colors on Parade recorded record sales of more than $2.39 million for the month of June, up 13% from May and more than 40% from June of 1997. In fact, sales were a record for any month in the 10 year history of the company.
Timothy Galfas, President and CEO attributes the success to improved training and the increased skill level of technicians. "We are the high-end in the industry in terms of quality and are working to meet the terrific market demand."
According to Galfas, franchisees averaged $10,000 each in sales for the month of June and expects those numbers to grow. "July is shaping up to be even better."
The Atlanta franchises posted the largest percentage of sales, some 13%. The Nashville and Knoxville, Tennessee regions combined for the second largest, 8.01%. Other Colors on Parade top area markets for the month were: Washington D.C.; Chapel Hill, N.C.; Phoenix, AZ; Sacramento, CA.; Roanoke, VA.; and the South Florida area which includes Miami and Ft. Lauderdale.
In the past five years, annual sales have grown from $2 million to more than $20 million. Naturally, success breeds success. Last May, Colors on Parade was honored by the Southeast Franchise Forum as Franchisor of the Year. In August, the company will hold its annual conference at the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Atlanta, hosting some 300 area developers, franchisees and their families.
Founded in 1988 by Robert Lowery, Colors on Parade franchisees use his breakthrough developments in automotive paint technology to repair minor scratches and dents without repainting the entire car. Colors on Parade franchisees offer additional services such as interior restoration, windshield repair and paint-free dent removal. Working from mobile laboratories, Colors on Parade technicians do body shop quality work on-site for car dealerships.
Recently ranked no. 24 among low investment franchises and no. 2 among automotive appearance services on the Entrepreneur Franchise 500, the Colors on Parade system has more than 300 units operating coast-to-coast and is continually expanding into new markets. Leaders in on-site automotive resurfacing technology, Colors on Parade opened a new research and development facility this past May in Conway, SC, located seven miles outside of Myrtle Beach.
