MotorVac CarbonClean System to be Featured in a Future Episode of The Shadetree Mechanic TV Show

SANTA ANA, Calif.--Aug. 12, 1998--MotorVac Technologies Inc. Wednesday announced that the company's MotorVac(R) CarbonClean(R) System will be featured in an upcoming episode of the Shadetree Mechanic television show.
The episode will feature the SUN(R) branded system distributed in the United States by Snap-on Diagnostics. The weekly program airs on The Nashville Network (TNN) and demonstrates vehicle maintenance and repair procedures.
According to Romy Laxamana, MotorVac's director of marketing, the Shadetree Mechanic episode will cover the complexity of the MotorVac(R) service and explain why training, the right equipment and highly-skilled technicians are necessary for a proper and thorough fuel system service.
"It will show that the MotorVac(R) service is a systematic and comprehensive process that effectively removes contaminants from engines, thus lowering emissions, restoring fuel economy and repairing any driveability problems," Laxamana stated. "This will differentiate our product from untested and unproven products that offer, at best, very limited benefits."
The Shadetree Mechanic is hosted by Dave Bowman and Sam Memmolo. Both are ASE-certified technicians and have years of hands-on experience in the automotive service industry.
"We are very excited that MotorVac will be showcased in an episode of the Shadetree Mechanic," said Lee W. Melody, president and chief executive officer of MotorVac Technologies. "It will inform consumers and trade professionals alike of the MotorVac(R) process and provide increased awareness of the benefits a MotorVac service provides to the driving public."
Broadcast dates for the episode are not yet final. The episode is expected to reach approximately 2.5 million automotive enthusiasts and trade professionals and will be available to order on video. Ordering information will be announced at a later date.
