SAN DIEGO--July 28, 1998--AimRite Holdings Corp. is pleased to present its revolutionary production COAST Suspension Control Unit.
The COAST(TM) (Computer Optimized Adaptive Suspension Technology) suspension control system uses Variable Constant Force(TM) to achieve unparalleled ride luxury, stability and safety for virtually all automotive, truck, bus and RV applications.
The purpose of a vehicle's suspension is to isolate the body from road irregularities, while maintaining sufficient stability and control for dramatically improved safety. This ability to provide a good ride with stability is very important for all vehicles. However, COAST, which is a revolutionary technology, does this and much more and is far superior to any other currently available suspension control technology.
The automobile industry has wanted, but has been unable to provide the power, control and safety offered with our technology. With COAST, they can now provide the most powerful computer suspension control technology ever invented.
The patented COAST technology incorporates simple, reliable and cost-effective system components to provide real-time control of all aspects of suspension performance. COAST controls roll and pitch of the vehicle, chassis and wheel natural frequencies, stored energy, pumping down and topping and bottoming of the suspension. The Suspension Control Unit (see photo) is composed of a Hydraulic Actuator connected by hydraulic lines to a Hydraulic Control Module.
The Hydraulic Actuator is mounted on existing shock mounts and the Hydraulic Control Module is mounted remotely. The patented high speed valves provide almost instant and infinitely variable control forces, ranging from +/-1,000 pounds for the SUV system to +/-4,000 pounds for the bus/truck/RV system.
The Suspension Control Unit controls the vehicle to achieve near ideal road handling and comfort. And, if an air suspension system is present, COAST can provide adaptive height control and leveling for overnight parking.
AimRite is now positioned to become a leading manufacturer in the computer-controlled automotive, truck, bus and RV suspension industry. Because of the ride luxury, stability, safety and reliability that the COAST system offers, AimRite expects that COAST will eventually become universally available on most vehicles.
