Excelsior-Henderson Introduces Field Sales Team
BELLE PLAINE, Minn., July 1 -- During the glory days of
motorcycling (1900's to 1930's), Excelsior-Henderson's hard working motorcycle
sales team built a strong dealer network that, for its time, was regarded as
one of the most extensive in the industry. The dedicated field sales team and
dealer network, coupled with the brand's legendary reputation for performance
and reliability, helped Excelsior-Henderson become one of the "Big Three"
motorcycle manufacturers of the era.
Today, with nearly 100 years of collective motorsports industry sales
experience between them, the reborn Excelsior-Henderson Motorcycle Company's
experienced sales team has already selected and signed 81 dealers nationwide.
Currently, the team consists of three regional sales managers and three
district sales managers. Covering the North and Northeast regions are Dave
Hrejsa, Regional Sales Manager and Dave Christensen, District Sales Manager.
Managing the South and Southeast territories are Regional Sales Manager Rick
Crum, and District Sales Manager Jim Schmutz. Responsibilities in the West
and Southwest fall under Mike Shell, Regional Sales Manager and Larry
Hartnett, District Sales Manager.
"Our Excelsior-Henderson sales team has done a tremendous job of
identifying and choosing dealers that share the passion for the American
motorcycling lifestyle and are committed to the Excelsior-Henderson brand
image," said Co-Founders Dan, Dave and Jennie Hanlon.
The company is very selective when choosing dealers to represent the 1999
Excelsior-Henderson Super X(TM). "Our sales team works hard to sign the best
dealers in each market," added the Hanlons. The team is well on its way to
meet the company's goal of signing 80-100 dealers by the end of the year.
Excelsior-Henderson Motorcycle Manufacturing Company is a
pre-revenue company which plans to manufacture, market and sell premium
heavyweight American cruisers and touring motorcycles, as well as related
parts, garments and accessories branded with a name that evokes an authentic
American motorcycling heritage and lifestyle. The Company will distribute its
products through a quality, nationally recognized dealer network. Excelsior-
Henderson is one of only two authentic American motorcycle companies
exclusively committed to the manufacture of motorcycles. The production-
intent 1999 Super X motorcycle will be unveiled August 3, 1998, during the
Sturgis Rally and Races. Motorcycle production will begin during the fourth
quarter of 1998.
