Matchbox Leonardo DiCaprio Commercial Makes It's Debut

WHO/WHAT:

Ever dream of owning a Lamborghini, a Ferrari, a Jaguar and a
Corvette? Matchbox fans, many who claim that their first car was a
Matchbox, know that this dream is not far from reality. At the
1998 "Matchbox Toy Show," Matchbox fans and collectors from around
the world will gather to bid, swap and make deals for the perfect
car to add to their collection. Bidding has been known to range
from as little as $1 to as high as $2,000. The Toy Show is
    sponsored by Matchbox.

Toy Show attendees will be the first to see a 1998 TV Commercial
starring a young Leonardo DiCaprio. They'll also get a first-hand
look at both the Matchbox VW Concept Car and the New VW Beetle. A
head-turner in either size, wait `till folks get a look at this
Beetle! Like no other car on the road, this Beetle, painted by
Woodstock, New York artist Justin Love, features a mermaid, a
spaceship, a "sun roof" and more. It'll make you smile!

There will be lots for KIDS to do:

-- Children can enter the "Matchbox USA Contest," giving them a
chance to win $25,000 for their town and their town's name on a
series of Matchbox cars. (Last year's winner, Ridge, New York,
used the grand prize to build a playground.)
-- Every child 12 and under will receive one free car upon entrance.
-- There will be an extensive children's play area, great door
prizes, raffles and access to the Matchbox Web Site (www.
    matchboxtoys.com).
-- At the kids rest stop, children can see how Matchbox cars are
made, from drawing board sketches to the first pre-production
model to the finished product. There will also be a coloring area
