EcoTyre to Launch Internet Division to Provide Recycled "Green" Tires Directly to Consumers At Factory-Direct Discount Pricing

HOLTSVILLE, N.Y.--June 22, 1998--Today EcoTyre Technologies Inc. announced that after hundreds of consumer inquiries the board of directors authorized the creation and operation of an Internet division which will implement an interactive web site to offer the 1 Billion plus Internet consumers the opportunity to buy premium grade, high-mileage, recycled auto and truck tires factory direct at pricing that would save them between 40%-70% of similar new tires bought at any retail outlets.
Visual-Com Inc, the reknown web-site builder which created the web sites for Federal Express, The United Nations, and Acer computers will be contracted this week to begin construction of the site which should be operational by the end of August/98.
Vito Alongi, President of Ecotyre remarked that the company had been exploring this opportunity for some time and finally conceded that consumer demand for inexpensive recycled tires made the move inevitable. Alongi forecasts at least a 30% increase in revenues from new Internet sales. "The new web site will allow us to penetrate the global market very cost efficiently and quickly" The company has already contracted with Networks, a Miami firm that will index the new web site on over 1,500 search engines in 37 countries world-wide. The new web site will allow consumers to order from over 80 sizes of car and truck tires from the convenience of their keyboard, and have delivery within 10 days. The web site will be equipped to process both credit card and check orders.
With growing emphasis on the environment, recycled tires are becoming more popular since it takes as much as 22 gallons of oil and one rubber tree to make just one new tire. Annual tire consumption in the U.S. alone is over 1 Billion tires. Compounded by the problems of disposal of old tires which are now prohibited from landfills, and cannot be incinerated, high-grade premium recycled tires that meet or exceed original factory specifications of new tires and have less than one half of one percent failure rate offer an ideal solution to this growing global problem. Most of EcoTyre's tires come with a 50,000 mile guarantee. More information can be obtained by contacting the company at 516/289-4638.
