GNB's Top Selling Trailblazer(R) Gets Tougher
ATLANTA, June 12 -- The Trailblazer(R), the most popular
replacement battery for the sport utility vehicle market, just got better.
The newly-designed Trailblazer features the most advanced venting system
available, reconfigured side terminals to allow the battery to fit more SUVs,
a new handle for easier installation, and new label and case designs mirroring
the global image of new vehicle styling.
The Trailblazer's new Mark IV venting system features increased head
clearance, enlarged spark arrestors and tapered vents for greater efficiency
and safety. The GNB Mark IV vent has been proven to exceed all other battery
manufacturers' designs.
"The venting system is the best-in-class," said Steve Purcell, Vice
President of Marketing for GNB Technologies, manufacturer of the Trailblazer.
"With the increased accessories and bigger engines in SUVs, battery-killing
under-hood temperatures are much higher. The Trailblazer's design and venting
system allow heat to safely escape, which protects the battery and increases
its life, even in the hottest conditions."
The Trailblazer's other unique features include the patented silver-
enriched AG9 alloy which extends the life of the battery, and Shock Stop(TM)
Anchor Bonding. ShockStop is the same, tough polypropylene material used to
make the battery case. The inside bottom of the battery case is flooded with
hot Shock Stop in liquid form. Once the Shock Stop hardens, it anchors and
locks the battery plates in place. This dramatically reduces premature
battery failure from vibration and high heat, conditions typical with sport
utility vehicles. And, the battery's higher, two hour reserve capacity (RC)
is engineered to deliver the power demanded for accessories such as heavy duty
fog lights, electrical power winches, spotlights, stereo systems, and even TVs
typical to SUVs.
"This is the only battery manufactured specifically for the sport utility
vehicle market. It performs in extreme heat and cold and provides the
vibration resistance and power required by four-wheel-drive vehicles, said
Mr. Purcell. "It also is the most user-friendly and convenient battery. And
with the majority of automotive batteries being sold in consumer retail
outlets, the redesigned label and battery case make Trailblazer visually
attractive."
The Trailblazer fits more than 95 percent of the two million trucks, vans,
and sport utility vehicles on the road today and features four battery sizes
up to 1,000 cranking amps.
