JOLIET, Ill., May 26 -- Route 66 Corvette Show to be Held
June 11th to June 14th in Joliet

DESCRIPTION: America's newest Corvette show, Route 66 Corvette Show
offers the first "hands-on" driving and entertainment event of its kind where
attendees, both Corvette owners and non-owners alike, can participate in the
excitement of driving "America's Dream Car," the Chevrolet Corvette.

THE INAUGURAL EVENT: This unique show is scheduled for Thursday, June 11
through Sunday, June 14, 1998. The cost for attending this exciting four-day
show is $15 per day, per person, or $45 for the entire weekend. For more
information about the show, to register, or for sponsorship opportunities,
please call 815-722-VETT or visit the official Route 66 Corvette Show web site
at http://www.corvetteshow.com.

LOCATION: Taking place in Joliet, Illinois, 23 miles from Chicago located
on historic Route 66, the all new $25 million Route 66 Raceway provides the
most modern motorsports and entertainment facility in the nation for this type
of show. A NHRA professional dragstrip and grandstand that holds over 30,000
spectators creates a "stadium" effect for viewers. Additional space for Road
Racing and Autocross makes this unique raceway a perfect place for Corvette
owners to drive their dream in different performance environments.

WHY A NEW CORVETTE SHOW?: Corvette enthusiasts have for a long time
wanted an event that would allow them to drive their cars in both performance
and non-performance environments, while still experiencing the best of other
Corvette shows.

The Route 66 Corvette Show will accomplish this need by adding a variety
of driving events to existing Corvette show formats. This is the ultimate
driving opportunity for participants to personally experience the excitement
of actually driving the Corvette. This new, interactive driving venue will
appeal to both Corvette owners and non-owners alike for the first time ever at
one facility.

The Route 66 Corvette Show is the only event of its kind which allows
Corvette owners to participate in a number of different driving experiences
including Corvette Drag Racing, Road Racing (for qualified drivers),
Autocross, and for Corvette owners or non-owners the "Come Drive Your Dream"
event.

ORGANIZERS: The Route 66 Corvette Show is managed by a group of Corvette
enthusiasts, volunteers and associates dedicated to providing Corvette and
automobile fans of all kinds with an annual driving and entertainment event.
The show is being organized from offices in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and
Joliet, Illinois.
