DuPont to Spell Out the 'ABCs' of Materials for Automotive Interiors At the 1998 Automotive & Transportation Interiors Expo And Associated Conferences
    WHAT:  Ever wonder what "DYM," "ETP" and "TPO" mean to automotive
           designers?  You can find out at the 1998 Automotive &
           Transportation Interiors Expo, where DuPont engineers will present
           four technical papers on the latest interiors technologies.

    * Gary Nelb, DuPont Fibers: "Global Trends in Airbag Fibers and Fabrics,"
      during Session II, 8:30 a.m.-noon
    * Henry Chang, DuPont Fibers: "Airbag Testing -- New Tests and
      Techniques," during Session III, 1:30-5 p.m.
    * Lawrence DeBow, DuPont Automotive: "Thermoplastic Materials in Airbag
      Systems," during Session III, 1:30-5 p.m.

    Thursday, May 21, SPE Regional Technical (RETEC) Conference
    * Robert Dawson, Mike Sanford, DuPont: "ETP-TPO Technology for Instrument
      Panel Skins," 9:45 a.m.

    WHY:  DuPont will illustrate how its materials for interior systems meet
          strict OEM standards while also maintaining the rich aesthetic
          characteristics consumers demand.

    New developments include:
    * DuPont Hytrel(R) DYM 100UV, a new molded-in-color grade that can provide
      cost savings by eliminating the need for paint.
    * DuPont ETP-TPO technology, already commercialized on instrument panel
      skins, will be used in a door panel application in 1998.
