Turbodyne Delivers First Shipment Of Turbopacs(TM)

WOODLAND HILLS, CA., May 4 /CNW-PRN/ - Turbodyne Technologies Inc.
announced today that it has delivered, ahead of
schedule, its first series production shipment of Turbopac(TM) bus kits to
Detroit Diesel Corporation , to be installed on city buses in
conjunction with the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Urban Bus
Retrofit/Rebuild Program. This nationwide program is planned to require at
least 1,250 bus kit units this year.
This first shipment is part of the blanket order placed in March by DDC's
Canton, Ohio worldwide Parts Distribution Center. The very first Turbopac(TM)
Model 2500 bus kit, serial number 0001, was direct shipped to the Tampa,
Florida Transit Authority for immediate installation. With the addition of
Tampa, there are now nine municipal bus properties in the United States
utilizing Turbodyne's technology to provide ``clean air diesel'' service to
communities and to save the taxpayers' money based upon reduced fuel
consumption and improved vehicle performance. The remainder of the bus kits
was delivered to Canton, Ohio for warehousing and distribution.
``It is exciting for Turbodyne to make a major contribution in
conjunction with DDC and the EPA in this watershed program that is rapidly
becoming the global model for reducing the harmful exhaust emissions from city
buses,'' said Turbodyne CEO Walter Ware. ``The experience being gained with
these ``clean air diesel'' engines, combined with the demonstrated financial
payback potential of the Turbodyne technology, can only logically lead to
broader applications across all diesel engines in every type of commercial
service.''
Turbodyne Systems, the high technology division of Turbodyne,
manufactures, designs, markets and develops patented pollution-reduction, fuel
economy and performance enhancing technology for internal combustion engines
in the automotive, transportation, construction, marine, agriculture, mining,

automotive industry.
