Donnelly Issues Q3 Correction

    HOLLAND, Mich., April 29 -- Donnelly Corporation
today issued a correction of the company's April 22, 1998 news
release pertaining to the company's third quarter financial results.  An error
occurred on page five of the news release, which contained the company's
Combined Consolidated Balance Sheets.  The comparative numbers given for June
28, 1997 were incorrect as listed.  The corrected version of Donnelly's
Combined Consolidated Balance Sheets for the 1997 comparative period (dated
6/28/97) is attached.
