Avis Offers Arizona and Florida Travelers Valuable One-Way Rental Opportunities
GARDEN CITY, N.Y., March 19 -- Avis Rent A Car, Inc.
today announced it is repeating a popular one-way, time-limited,
car rental program designed to offer Arizona and Florida based customers great
value, while helping transfer its fleet of fine cars to other key locations.
Avis customers traveling one-way from Arizona to most major cities in
California or Nevada, and those traveling one-way from Florida to most major
cities in the Northeast, Southeast and Central United States, can take
advantage of a low daily rate of $8.95 per day, with no drop-off fee. The
offer is valid in Arizona from April 6 to June 30 and in Florida from
April 1 to June 30.
According to F. Robert Salerno, Avis' President and Chief Operating
Officer, "At Avis we are always working harder to provide a convenient,
stress-free rental experience for our customers. By changing the way we
traditionally transfer our fleets, we can offer our one-way travel customers
great value and convenience."
A seven-day maximum rental applies for customers picking up cars in
Arizona and a 14-day maximum rental applies for customers traveling from
Florida.
Avis is promoting this program using print advertising in Arizona and
Florida, in Travel Industry media, by direct mail, reaching previous renters
who took advantage of last year's offer, and through the Avis Galaxy Web site.
