Chrysler Sets Price on 1999 Chrysler Town & Country Limited

    AUBURN HILLS, Mich., March 11 -- Chrysler Corporation
announced pricing today for its new top-of-the-line 1999 Chrysler
Town & Country Limited minivan.  The suggested retail price for a 1999
Chrysler Town & Country Limited equipped with the high-output 3.8-liter V-6
engine is $34,115, including destination.  The 1999 Town & Country Limited AWD
model is $36,490, including destination.
    The Chrysler Town & Country Limited builds on the brand's hallmark of
offering innovative vehicles that blend expressive design, relevant technology
and premium features.  "We want our products to continuously redefine
traditional segments and meet the needs of each generation of new buyers,"
said Martin R. Levine, General Manager of the Chrysler-Plymouth-Jeep(R)
Division.  "The Chrysler Town & Country remains the only true luxury minivan
in the entire segment and now we have increased the level of luxury even more
with the Town & Country Limited."
    The 1999 Chrysler Town & Country Limited, a step above the premium
LXi model, includes exclusive new features such as a new monochromatic
exterior with unique chrome wheels and door handles, an even more luxurious
interior with leather and preferred suede seats, thicker plush carpeting, an
elegant golden-colored instrument cluster, unique center armrest bench seat in
the rear, steering wheel radio controls and heated seats.
    The Town & Country Limited is available with a Taupe interior and in four
exterior colors -- Candy Apple Red, Deep Slate, Golden White and Taupe Frost.
    The Town & Country Limited will be manufactured at Chrysler's St. Louis
Assembly Plant South in Fenton, Missouri.
