Spring Has Sprung With Hertz Weekend Rates; Hertz Offers Special $29.99 Daily Weekend Rental Rates

    PARK RIDGE, N.J., Feb. 10 -- Effective February 19, The Hertz
Corporation , the world's largest car rental company, offers spring
travelers special weekend rates.  Savings are available on compact through
full-size weekend car rentals nationwide with a daily weekend rate of $29.99,
including free unlimited mileage.  In addition, members of the American
Automobile Association (AAA) receive even greater savings with a weekend rate
of $26.99 per day.  The promotion applies to rentals on bookings made for
pick-up February 19 through May 17, 1998.
    Customers can take advantage of these special savings by picking up a
compact through full-size vehicle, including the Mustang coupe, at any
participating Hertz airport location, excluding locations in Colorado,
Arizona, and Manhattan.  Rates will be higher in the New York metropolitan
area.  All rates are subject to availability and black-out dates do apply.
    When booking, customers must mention the RQ Code XACT, and, for AAA
members, RQ code AAWE.  Advance reservations are required and standard rental
qualifications apply.
