Catalyst International Awarded Subaru Warehouse Management ProjectMILWAUKEE, Wis., Feb. 5 -- Catalyst International, Inc. , a leading supplier of warehouse management software, today announced that it has been named the warehouse management software solution provider for Subaru of America, Inc., of Cherry Hill, N.J. Subaru purchased a corporate license and plans to implement Release 7.0 of the Catalyst Warehouse Management System (WMS) in seven distribution centers across the United States. Subaru, a world leader in the automotive industry, purchased the Catalyst system as part of their "Parts 2000" initiative to improve parts availability and turnaround time to its distributors and dealers. The company plans to implement the Catalyst WMS in its distribution centers over the next two years. Aftermarket parts has been a niche market for Catalyst since 1980. Catalyst has a significant customer base in the parts industry, including companies such as General Motors International, Chrysler, American Honda, Renault, Unipart, Trane and The Case Corporation. "Because the WMS standard functionality fits so well with the Subaru distribution center requirements, this will be another no modification implementation for Catalyst," said Jack Kramer, Vice President Sales. "We chose Catalyst based on their functionality and expertise in the automotive aftermarket parts industry. We are impressed not only with the capabilities of the software with respect to our industry, but with the implementation team and process as well," said Keith Tilton, Vice President-Parts. "In addition, we were looking for a Year 2000 compliant WMS provider to help us continue our drive to provide the best customer service possible throughout our dealer network." Subaru of America, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. of Japan. Headquartered near Philadelphia, the company markets and distributes Subaru vehicles, parts and accessories through a network of nearly 620 franchised dealers across the United States.
