American Business Information, Inc.(R) Database to Be Used in Car Navigation Systems By Zenrin Company

    OMAHA, Neb., Feb. 3 -- American Business Information, Inc.(R)
(Nasdaq: ABIIA ABIIB) today announced the licensing of their comprehensive
business database to Zenrin Co., Ltd. for use in Alpine Electronics, Inc.'s
vehicle navigation and tracking system.  ABI(TM) is furnishing Zenrin with
such information as business name, address, phone, SIC Code, and various
points of interest.  ABI's business database includes up-to-date information
on more than 10 million U.S. businesses.
    Alpine, Inc.'s navigation and information system allows users to search
for desired destinations by business name, address, or intersection.  Users
can also search by type of location, create an address book of their most
frequented destinations, or choose a location from a categorized list of
thousands of pre-programmed points of interests such as restaurants, shopping,
gas stations, or tourist attractions.
