American Tire Corporation Getting National Exposure

RAVENNA, Ohio, Dec. 23 -- The word is out! Several national
Lawn & Garden publications from different regions in the United States are now
taking a serious interest in American Tire Corporation's new and innovative
technology in Flat Free Tires. Turf Magazine, a national Lawn & Garden
publication, published an article in the December issue of their magazine.
The article discusses and contains a photo of two American Tire Corporation's
Flat Free turf tires. The article focuses on American Tire Corporation
introducing a revolutionary flat free tire system that requires no air, no
expensive foam fillers, and no messy "flat proof" liquids that only try to
prevent flats. American Tire Corporation offers two product lines. One is
the URATHON Commercial Turf Tire which is a urethane foam tire with a 90%
closed cell construction and a thick outer skin, weighing very close to a
pneumatic tire, and requires no maintenance such as the need to refill tires
low on air pressure. The second is the AMERICAN Turf Tire (patent pending)
which is a structured urethane elastomer tire which is completely self-
supporting, contains no foam and requires no pressurized air or fillers. Like
its foam counterpart, the AMERICAN Turf Tire offers a compliant feel of a
pneumatic tire, is easy to mount with no special tools, and provides up to 40%
better wear than pneumatic tires.
Bicycle and Lawn and Garden tires will be available to the OEM and
aftermarket the latter part of the first quarter of 1998 in limited sizes.
Roger Fleming, President of American Tire Corporation, has stated the
expansion of sizes available to the market will continue throughout 1998,
including a move toward producing flat free Golf Car tires.
Marcy Janus, who previously coordinated the global marketing and sales
efforts for American Tire Corporation, and was recently promoted Manager of
North American Sales and Marketing, believes that these flat free tires made
with American Tire Corporation's advanced technology could revolutionize the
low duty cycle tire business. Ms. Janus can be contacted at 800-808-1268 for
further information on American Tire Corporation's product lines and product
availability.
