Dorsey Trailers Announces NLRB Ruling on Northumberland FacilityATLANTA, Dec. 10 -- Dorsey Trailers, Inc. (DSYT) announced today that an Administrative Law Judge of the National Labor Relations Board has ordered the Company to reinstate operations at its closed Northumberland, Pennsylvania facility, reinstate striking employees and compensate effected employees for any loss of earnings. The Company intends to appeal this decision, a procedure that may take several years. No part of the order will take effect during this appeal. The Company expects to prevail in the appeal process. Marilyn R. Marks, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, commenting on this decision, stated, "We are disappointed in the Administrative Law Judge's decision. At all times during the unsuccessful negotiation process, the Company strictly adhered to all labor laws and bargained in good faith. The Company's decisions and actions in this matter were appropriate and within the rules and guidelines set forth by the National Labor Relations Board. We believe the ruling is improper and not in accordance with existing labor law. "The products previously manufactured at Northumberland are currently being produced at our plants in Cartersville, Georgia and Dillon, South Carolina. Both plants are highly productive and delivering superb quality trailers to our flatbed and dump trailer customers." Dorsey Trailers, Inc. designs, manufactures, and markets one of the broadest lines of high-quality, customized truck trailers through three plants located in Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina.
