Plymouth Prowler Raffle Benefits Detroit Cornerstone Schools

Farmington Hills Chrysler-Plymouth Superstore Donates Scarce Hot
                   Rod to Academically Challenging Schools

DETROIT, Nov. 4 -- Finally, a clamoring public will be given
a chance to own a Plymouth Prowler, thanks to a charity raffle to benefit
Detroit Cornerstone Schools.
David Fischer's Farmington Hills Chrysler-Plymouth-Jeep-Eagle is donating
the modern hot rod, one of only 16 introduced in the state in August, to
benefit the nearly 600 children who attend Cornerstone's four elementary and
middle schools in the city of Detroit.
Fischer, a long-time supporter of Cornerstone, said he knows the Prowler
will turn some heads. In fact, a Prowler was recently sold for $141,000 at an
auction in Indiana.
"This car gets unbelievable attention from everyone, especially kids,"
Fischer said. "So it's fitting that the children of Cornerstone should see
the benefit from this raffle."
Also contributing assistance to the raffle are St. John Health System, and
Providence Hospital and Medical Centers. Both are also long-time supporters
of Cornerstone and both are donating resources to ensure the raffle's success.
Raffle tickets cost $100 and only 3,500 tickets are being sold. Still,
the raffle may present the best opportunity for Prowler enthusiasts to get
their hands on one in the near future. Waiting lists at many stores number
into the hundreds. Less than 1,000 are expected to be produced this year
nationally.
Those interested in purchasing raffle tickets should call 888-767-7770.
Visa and MasterCard are accepted. The drawing for the Prowler will be during
Cornerstone's annual meeting, 9:30 a.m. Dec. 10 at Detroit's Museum of
African-American History.
Cornerstone Schools are "Christ-centered" schools providing an
academically challenging environment during an 11-month academic year, as well
as moral development for its students. Tuition reductions are given for needy
families.
