Paretti Opens New Jaguar Dealership in Baton Rouge

    MAHWAH, N.J., Oct. 15 -- Jaguar Cars is pleased to announce
the opening today of Paretti Jaguar of Baton Rouge.
    Paretti Jaguar of Baton Rouge represents the second outlet for the Paretti
family, which has successfully owned and operated Paretti Imports, the New
Orleans area's sole Jaguar dealership, for the past 25 years.  Like Paretti
Imports, the Baton Rouge dealership will represent Jaguar automobiles
exclusively.
    Paretti's new Baton Rouge sales and service facilities are located at
11977 Airline Highway in Baton Rouge, just south of the Seigen Lane and
Sherwood Forest Boulevard intersections.
    The 15,000 square foot facility has been extensively renovated as a
handsome backdrop for Jaguar's XJ Series sedans and XK8 sports cars.  Both
inside the showroom and out, automobiles are individually displayed in a
carefully designed setting more like an art gallery than a car dealership.
    "In recent years, it has been our privilege to participate in Jaguar's
renaissance in the world of prestige automobiles," said Michael Rase, Jr.,
general manager of Paretti Jaguar of Baton Rouge.  "We have seen firsthand the
commitment of everyone within Jaguar Cars to their customers and dealer body,
and that commitment has contributed greatly to our decision to open a second
stand-alone dealership.  The entire staff is looking forward to our next
25 years of partnership with Jaguar."
    Rase will share responsibility for daily operations at Paretti Jaguar of
Baton Rouge with Customer Service Manager Connie Gurry, an eleven-year veteran
of Paretti's Jaguar service operations.
    Paretti Jaguar of Baton Rouge represents the full line of Jaguar
automobiles, including the new 1998 XJ Series sedans, XK8 coupes and
convertibles, and factory-warranted Select Edition pre-owned Jaguars.  Prices
for the 1998 models begin at $54,750 for the XJ8 sedan, with Select Edition
prices typically in the mid-$30,000 range.
    The opening of Paretti Jaguar of Baton Rouge brings to 135 the number of
Jaguar dealerships presently operating in the U.S.
