Metrotrans Appoints Michael Simon Vice President, Financial ServicesGRIFFIN, Ga., July 14 -- Metrotrans Corporation announced that Michael Simon has joined the Company as Vice President, Financial Services. Mr. Simon's main responsibility will be to work with customers in the finance and lease area, but he will also act as a champion for all Metrotrans' customers. Formerly a 15-year employee of Budget Rent a Car Corporation, Mr. Simon most recently held the position of Director, Fleet Operations. He has 25 years of diversified business management experience including marketing, sales, finance and leasing as well as in-depth shuttle bus knowledge. He received his MBA from the University of Chicago. "Car rental is a customer service business, we all have the same cars, the difference is how we treat our customers," said Michael Simon. "I spent years reviewing car, truck and bus manufacturing facilities worldwide. I've seen sophisticated production systems and buses built in garages using cardboard cutouts. In contrast, Metrotrans is one of the best manufacturers I've seen," states Mike. "What tougher critic or stronger customer advocate could I acquire than to hire one of our oldest and largest customers?" stated Michael Walden, Chairman & CEO of Metrotrans. We are not only selling, we are building relationships. Mike is a valuable addition to our management team." Mr. Simon will be located at the Griffin, Georgia manufacturing facility.
