Nissan Announces Voluntary Recall

Voluntary Recall Campaign Announced By Nissan

CARSON, Calif., Feb. 5 -- Nissan Motor Corporation U.S.A.,
distributor of Nissan cars and trucks, announced today a voluntary recall
campaign on approximately 20,500 Quest mini-van vehicles manufactured between
April 1995 and September 1995 for the 1995 model year. On some Quests models
manufactured during this period, a rear lamp may not illuminate because the
metal connection in the lamp socket moves or separates from the plastic socket
housing. This can result in the stop/tail combination lamp or the turn signal
lamp not functioning. The center high mounted stop lamp operation is not
affected.
To correct this condition, the bulb sockets in both rear combination lamps
will be replaced. Owners of affected vehicles were officially notified of the
recall in letters mailed on February 3.
