Porsche Announces January 1997 Sales

            666 1997 Porsche Boxsters Sold During its Debut Month

    RENO, Nev., Feb. 4 -- Porsche Cars North America, Inc.
reported its January 1997 sales resulted in its best month since July of 1988.
During its inaugural month in the United States, 666 units were sold of the
1997 Boxster, Porsche's first all-new model in 19 years.
