30 November 1998

LIVE INTERNET TV BROADCAST IS THE HOTTEST THING ABOUT TWO WHEELS

The Auto Channel to Provide Wall-to-Wall Coverage of the Cycle World Int'l. Motorcycle Show in Southern California

For Immediate Release

AUTO CENTRAL; November 27, 1998 -- What's the best way to see all the new 1999 motorcycles? By visiting the Cycle World International Motorcycle Shows, of course. But if you won't have the opportunity to attend any of these expositions when the National US tour begins next weekend, then the second best bet is to watch The Auto Channel's complete live TV-on-the-Net coverage of the Southern California Show on Friday, December 4th, through the 6th.

For the second year in a row, The Auto Channel's broadcasts will allow Internet users from around the world to experience every aspect of the event. In all, TACH will present 13 half-hour programs that feature interviews with representatives from the top manufacturers. Each manufacturer will in turn unveil their hottest new models for the global audience. The list includes Harley-Davidson, Ducati, Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, BMW, Triumph, Suzuki, Victory, Buell and ATK. Interviews with other motorcycle personalities and celebrities are also scheduled for each broadcast. The shows will then be archived for continuous on-demand access.

Completely new for this year's live coverage will be the addition of "Motorcycle Trivia Challenge", a TV-style game show that pits 2 contestants against each other in an effort to win hundreds of dollars in prizes. Contestants will be selected from the audience attending the exposition. The game shows will also be broadcast live over the Internet and archived for continuous access. Twelve episodes are planned for the 3 days.

All broadcasts will be staged at The Auto Channel studio exhibit, booth #1064. A complete list of show times and the interview schedule can be found directly at http://www.theautochannel.com/cybercast/cwims99/index.html?EVENTS.

Live coverage of this event is presented in association with the exposition's management group, Team Powersports, a division of media giant Advanstar Communications, Inc. Advanstar Communications is a leading worldwide business information provider, publishing 106 publications, producing 106 trade shows and expositions, and providing a variety of marketing services to 21 industries. Aftermarket Business Magazine, one of the Advanstar publications, is a strategic partner of The Auto Channel in marketing to the automotive aftermarket industry.

TACH is the Internet’s most complete and comprehensive automotive information resource, covering 18 subject categories; with more than 100,000 screen pages of information; 16 searchable databases and price guides; hundreds of new vehicle reviews for each of the last five model years; and the largest streaming video library on the internet, including full line factory footage for most of the automobile manufacturers.

To watch any of the broadcasts Internet users will need the Windows Media Player, which is available free of charge through The Auto Channel. For best results, modems faster than 28.8kbs should be used, but 28.8kbs modems are also acceptable. Windows Media Player is compatible with both Netscape and Internet Explorer browsers.
