NHRA Releases 1999 Television Schedule

GLENDORA, Calif. -- Four networks will combine to televise all 22 NHRA Winston Drag Racing Series events and the inaugural Winston Showdown in 1999, National Hot Rod Association officials announced Nov. 15.

ESPN and ESPN2 will combine to televise 13 national events. ESPN will televise the Winston Showdown, NHRA's all-star race, to be held at Bristol (Tenn.) Dragway July 8-10. TNN will feature five events, including the prestigious U.S. Nationals from Indianapolis Raceway Park. ABC and Fox Sports/Speedvision will each televise two events.
