Caca Bueno Wins Round 10 of South American Touring Cars Championship

Brazilian driver Cacá Bueno, son of TV Globo comentator, Galvão Bueno,
won the 10th round of the South American Touring Cars Championship and
took the lead of the championship, with 2 rounds to go.

"This was a great win and I am very, very happy with the car and the
team. They did a wonderful job" said Bueno, that was fastest in all
practices, qualifying, warm-up and race.

Second was Osvaldo Cocho Lopez from Argentina with an Alfa Romeo. He
finished more than 3 seconds behind the Peugeot 406 of Bueno and 15
seconds earlier than Juan Manuel Fangio II (former CART driver) that
took his Peugeot to 3rd place.

The great battle of the race was between the Chrysler Stratus fo Chico
Serra and the BMW 320i from Fernando Croceri and Oscar Larrauri.

Brazilian Chico Serra (former F-1 driver in the early 80's) was the
rookie of the race, finishing in a strong 5th place (one of the best
finished for the Stratus this season), and showing a great form when
battling against Croceri and Larrauri.

In the Championship Larrauri and Bueno have 119 points, and Cocho Lopez
has 98 points, followed by J.M.Fangio II with 91 points.
There are still 44 poins left, and all this 4 drivers can win the title.

Next race will be in Uruguay November 22nd and the last race will be in
São Paulo December 13th.
